This is a close up of the texture I created for the outside of the box. It was created using layers of PVA glue applyed to tissue paper and then covering it in wax to create a surface that resembles skin.It is applyed all over the surface, as if it is skin decaying and also gives the effect of holding the soil together as it has decayed from the bones.
