Given the topic of containment with which to create our works, I chose a cocoon as my container,where I see it as the first container in the beginning of life, protecting the young until they are set free into the world,like butterflies escaping their cocoons and spreading their wings in life's cool fresh air for the first time.Unlike butterflies however we seem to live our whole lives within a cocoon, a container which protects us from the harsh reality of life. There are different stages throughout our lives and I have represented these stages in the form of cocoons made out of different materials which to me show the different stages I have gone through in my life so far and some which I have yet to experience.
