Voyage For Good

Since my project is so centered around the concept of the containers, I decided to choose
a treasure chest as my main subject. My environmental project is based on the idea of a
treasure chest that was found washed up in Waterford lost on it's journey to Newfoundland.
I thought that the beach is a very interesting and exciting subject to work with, As there
is always an element of surprise, because one never knows what the changing tide might
bring. There is a wide variety of objects and materials research and work with for my
project. I have drawn my influences from the images of shipwrecks and treasures within them,
and also from effects of weathering and ageing of objects as they traverse great distances
in the sea.
