In the shadow and shelter of the manor
I have stood all my life
From the windows , through my reflection ,
peer the faces of my playmates.
 Built from sapling strength
and grown to my reaching grandeur
These limbs have seen generatons swing from
bough and branch and voyage into
the recesses of my towers and parapets
My families nestle among my strength
and take refuge in my root and bough
And I return to my youth, to where it first lay
among the undergrowth, and begin again .
