Slip of Tongue

Hand in hand, romantically entwined,

Our bodies close and warm, our eyes gazing,

With one slip of tongue,

Our hands break, our arms fall,

Suddenly its cold, bodies separating slowly,

Happiness and bliss change to frustration,

The knots inside me, tearing my stomach,

As we walk queitly, miles between us.

The footpath, a neverending spiral,

my heart beats as the pace quickens,

Home is far, when we walk apart,

my mind is racing, searching for words,

SORRY, our eyes meet,

Our hands join, its warm.
