What is the BA (Hons) in Art in Society?
This is an add-on year to the Bachelor of Arts in Art which aims to complement and extend the unique learning experience provided by the latter. The course design has been informed by the most recent developments in art education, and seeks to provide students with the necessary skills and attitudes, to enable them to practice successfully in the contemporary art-world.
The subjects of study in Year 1 are as follows:

Requirements for entry
To qualify for entry to this course (subject to availability of places) you must hold either a BA in Art or its equivalent.
If your highest educational qualification is the Leaving Certificate you are not qualified to apply directly for this course. You should first apply (to CAO) for the BA in Art.
