Duration: Flexible delivery - 2/5 years dependant on individual student needs. Saturdays 10am-5pm.
Qualification: Masters in Management in Education
Cost: €6300 or €525 per 5-credit module

The M.A. in Management in Education is a flexible modular part-time 60-credit programme suited to practitioners in all levels of education - Primary, Post Primary, Third Level, Further and Adult Education.

The aim of the MA in Management in Education is to provide practitioners at all levels of the education system with the necessary skills for effective educational leadership and management.

Entry Requirements

• A Primary Degree or equivalent
• Three years Postgraduate Experience
• Access to an educational organisation where management action research can be carried out

Course Content

Mandatory Modules

• Leading Learning (10 credits)
• Research Methods (5 credits)
• Minor Dissertation (15 credits) 

Electives (Choose 6 of the following 5 credit Modules)

• Strategic Planning
• Education Law
• Human Resource Management
• Public relations
• Financial Management
• Information Technology
• Mentoring
• Acceptable Substitute Module*

(e.g. a module from the MA in Teaching and Learning)

Please Note: For the award of MA, you need to accumulate 60 credits, however it is possible for you to take single modules, relevant to your needs.
