MA in Arts & Heritage Management
The aim of the Masters in Arts & Heritage Management is to address specific and identified needs within the arts and heritage industry for management training in the area of cultural administration, and to provide you with the necessary skills for effective cultural leadership and management. It offers you an opportunity to reflect on your professional practice (work placement) and gain a theoretical and critical perspective on managing organisations and events in the cultural/heritage sector.
The Masters in Arts & Heritage Management is a 90-credit programme suited to Arts graduates, Business graduates with a particular interest in arts/heritage, and practitioners of the arts/heritage sectors. The programme is delivered in a flexible mode to allow for full or part-time study, where you can build a portfolio of modules and credits to enable you to progress to a Masters qualification.

- Major Placement (15 credits)
- Minor Dissertation (15 credits)

- Museum & Gallery Studies I (5 credits)

- Arts in Context II (5 credits)
Entry Requirements
- A 2nd Class Honours Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Access to a cultural organisation where your work placement and research can be carried out

Full-Time Delivery: |
The full-time programme is delivered over twelve months i.e. September to August. It is envisaged that the programme will be delivered two days per week (including a Saturday) and one evening per week. Provisional timetable details are available upon request.
In Semester 3 (the summer vacation), students spend three days in the approved placement. |

Part-Time Delivery: |
You can build a portfolio of modules and credits. Please note you have a maximum of 5 years to complete the Masters programme. |
