This course is designed as an introduction to counselling and is NOT a professional training course in counselling. Throughout this course, participants will explore the following topics through group discussions, group work and self-reflection:

> What is counselling?
> Who is the counsellor?
> Who is the counselled?
> What do I need to become a counsellor?
> Is counselling a career and or vocational choice for me?
> What do I need to be an effective counsellor?
> How to create the right environment for good counselling.
> Different styles of counselling
