All students whatever level they believe themselves to be, must attend this session which will determine which of the classes below they will be invited to join.

It is possible, half way through the programme, that students in any group may be advised to transfer to the other group depending on progress and performance.

Students should note that the decision as to which class they attend will only be made by the lecturers.

The classes will consist of two sessions per week; of one and a half hours each; on two separate days in the week, see below: -

 Level 1

This course is aimed at lower intermediate students who already have a basic grasp of English and want to improve their general fluency, grammar awareness and vocabulary. The course will go over some of the essential basics of pronunciation, appropriate grammar points that might arise and aims to provide the students with an improved functional fluency. Elementary students can be accommodated but it should be noted that this class will be suitable for absolute beginners. During the course there will be opportunities to practice all the language skills.

Duration:  15 weeks, Monday and Wednesday, 7:00 - 8:30pm
Qualification:  WIT Certificate of Completion
Cost:   €360

Level 2

This course is for the more advanced students who are already able to conduct a conversation with native speakers outside the workplace and who are already able to write with accuracy and confidence in English. This course aims to refine the skills they already have and to provide a platform to develop their vocabulary and communicative skills in a relaxed but structured environment. Students should not expect a grammar based course but a focus more on improved fluency and heightened accuracy.
