BBS: 4th Year Project (Students on the HRM, Marketing and Management streams only)
Posted: Tue, May 29, 2007

Please see attached information from Sean Byrne regarding the dissertation. Please read it carefully.

1. Project Documentation

This is a document that summaries the major parts of the project process, benefits of doing a project, examination criteria and procedures, the roles of the student and the roles of the tutor. It also includes useful information on topic selection, project management and references for additional reading.

2. Project Presentation

This is a presentation which summaries some of the key themes that are detailed to a greater extent in (1) above. It also contains some new information such as a specific timetable for different project deadlines.

3. Project Proposal

This is the critical document in terms of how each student selects and details their proposed area of research. This document must be submitted by 4pm on Monday September 17th 2007 to the business school office. Completion of the proposal form is the student's responsibility and it is part of the assessed project management skills. The proposal also informs the tutor allocation process. Shortly following the submission of the proposal the project coordinator will meet with all students to discuss the project, do a presentation on research methods and inform the students of who their tutors are.
