As you all know the work placement process has kicked off and there will be some interviews this week.  We will issue this status report regularly and we will include some statistics in the future reports. 

Opportunities as at September 21
In these status reports we will draw attention to jobs received from companies that may interest some of you even though:
1. They may be located in places you did not consider when you did your location preferences.  
2. The nature of the job may be different than normal

Here are some jobs that have arisen that require CVs to be sent this week:  

Abbott Vascular, Clonmel:  There are three types of position available for students: a HR position, a Finance position and a Supply Chain (planning) position.  Full job descriptions are on the work placement board outside the work placement office. 

Tipperary Co-op in Tipperary Town: There is an accounting position available.  We have placed students here for the last 2 years and the experience is excellent.

Irish College, Leuven: Caroline Nash, Director of Programmes at the Irish College will be here on Thursday 24th at 3.30 and will make a presentation about the college and the job to interested students in E13.  Let us know if you want your CV to be given to her.  Note you can come to the presentation without committing to applying for the position. 

Janssen Pharma, Little Island, Cork:  A HR position available.  We have placed students here for the last 2 years and the experience is excellent.  Note there is a commuter train that runs from Cork City to the island.  Janssen plan to interview next week, so urgency is required.  This is a Johnson and Johnson company.

CVs and Response Forms
We still do not have all your CVs and we cannot assist you in getting  a placement position without having your CV and your signed Response Form.  Email the CV to bbsplacement@wit.ie and drop in the Response Form to D18.  The deadline is Tuesday 22nd.    We will be sending out the CVs on your behalf so there is no need to do a cover letter.
