Jobs update: 15 Jobs were secured last week in State Street (7), AIB (5), Braun (1) and 2 students got their own jobs. Focusone conducted phone interviews. Note that State Street hired 1 BAFS student and AIB hired 4 BAFS students also. Well done to all the students who were interviewed. In addition, other students are currently finalising positions that they secured themselves directly with companies in their own localities. Well done to them also.
Interviews this week: Abbott Laboratories (Clonmel) have selected and will interview students this Friday at their premises for a finance department position. In addition Alza in Cashel will be scheduling interviews at their premises for an accounting position in the next week or two. They have already hired a HR student.
Prompt Responses: We need students to promptly respond to e-mails when we arrange interviews and when you get job offers. We cannot keep companies waiting for responses!
New Opportunities as at November 7:
Here are some open jobs that are open at the moment:
Martin & Co., Accountants, Mitchelstown: Looking for accounting student - a wide range of accounting experience including farmer accounts etc.
Stada Clonmel: Are currently putting a team together to help set up a SAP system early in the new year. This position would suit a student (from any stream) familiar with the principles of SAP and interested in working in an IT-related project.
Friends First at Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Dublin 18 (south Dublin) have some interesting positions for accounting and economics and finance students in the finance products area. Friends First has a long standing presence in Ireland and has built up a reputation as a leading financial services group in this market. They provide a comprehensive range of pension, investment, protection and finance products and services.
