BBS Placement Update 25 September 2008 Posted: Thu, September 25, 2008

This report is issued to all work placement students.  As you all know the work placement process has kicked off and there have been interviews running since Wednesday September 24th.  The early interviews were for the large accounting practices.  We will issue a status report regularly and we will include some statistics in the future reports. 

New Opportunities as at September 26
In these status reports we will draw attention to jobs recently received from companies that may interest some of you even though:
1. They may be located in places you did not consider when you did your location preferences.  
2. The nature of the job may be different than normal

Here are some jobs that have arisen this week that requires CVs to be sent early next week: 

Zurich  Insurance Ireland Limited, Wexford:  Two types of position available for students in Wexford.  Full job descriptions are on the board in the work placement office. 

Broker Service Representatives - working in a team communicating with brokers.
Customer Service Representatives - working in a team communicating with customers.

Note that with these jobs a high percentage of the time is spent on the phone. 

Skills required include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, high level IT skills, quick learning capabilities and ability to resolve customer problems, self-motivation and an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work. 

We need to know by Tuesday 30 September if you would like to apply for one or other of these jobs.

CVs and Response Forms
We still do not have all the CVs from students - we cannot get you a work placement position without having your CV and your response form.  Get them in to us today!
