Contacting the Work Placement Team
The WIT Work Placement Team is located in the business school building in the Flexible Semester Office, D18 (accross the well from the business school administration office). Students can arrange to see a member of the Placement Team during the opening hours of the office or alternatively e-mail the office - see Contact Us page.
The Work Placement Office is responsible for the management and development of the work placement programmes for undergraduates in the WIT School of Business. The Work Placement Office places around 150 students annually with employers.
For students, it is a major opportunity to put their academic knowledge into practice in the "real world of work" and develop new professional and business skills. It also improves students' prospects of future employment and helps students decide on their career path.
For employers, it is a chance to get access to a high calibre of eager and ambitious undergraduates who come from many different areas which vary from Accountancy to Retail Management. It is also a useful point of contact with WIT, giving them more information about our degree courses. From visiting the campus, employers get a good picture of the developments taking place both physically and academically.
The WIT Work Placement office works closely with our Careers Centre . The Careers Centre supports students and graduates with their career plans and provides career guidance and information as well as training for all our students. The Careers Office works mainly with our graduates.
