Enterprise START
The Enterprise START Programme, run by the WIT Centre for Entrepreneurship in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland, is aimed at anyone thinking of starting their own business, now or in the future.
Participants are likely to be still in full-time employment, and have a desire to develop a knowledge-based business, ideally with export potential. This course will help you to make decisions regarding the feasability of your business idea and give insights into the essential elements involved in creating a new, competitive and sustainable enterprise. Advice and support on where to look for further assistance in developing your business will also be given.
Workshops will be delivered over six weekends (Fridays 6 - 9.30 pm and Saturdays 9.30 am - 1 pm). Topics covered will include: The Business Planning Process; Managing a Start-up; The Protection and Management of Intellectual Property; The Sales & Marketing Plan; Presenting your Business Plan & Negotiating the Deal; Legal Issues facing Start-ups. The programme will be learner-centered with an emphasis on participation and involvement. Presentations will be supported by written documentation and/or web-based material as appropriate.
