Annual Report on Research Activity

A report on Research Activities at WIT is conducted annually by the Research Support Unit in order to outline the research activities taking place across all research groups and centres within the Institute.

The Research Support Unit has collected Annual Reports on Research Activities at WIT for the Academic Year 2009-2010.  The Overview of Research Activities at WIT 2009-2010 is available on Moodle.

‘The following activities are deemed as “research activities”: personal research; team research; writing research proposals; writing research reports; supervision of PhD students; other research based activities including administration and planning.’  Source OECD (2002) Proposed Standard Practice for Surveys of Research and Experimental Development, “Frascati Manual 2002”.

It is fundamental that this information is collated and updated annually for programmatic reviews, HETAC reviews, for publication on the website, for reference material for external evaluators to support research proposal submissions and for other Institutional literature such as annual reports, institutional database, etc.

To access the previous Annual Reports on Research Activities, please refer to the Academic Council and Institutional Document Repository on Moodle.
