Name: Dr. Fiona M. Murphy

Position: Senior Researcher of RIKON Research Group Lecturer in MIS

Qualifications: BSc in Commercial Software Development, PhD

 

Biography:

 

Fiona is a computing graduate of Waterford Institute of Technology and is an active researcher on knowledge transfer, information systems development and human centred systems.  She is particularly interested in research in the area of how user knowledge is successfully transferred to developers during the systems development process.  Fiona has published numerous conference and journal papers on human centred systems, requirements elicitation and information systems development, focusing specifically on embedded knowledge transfer.  As well as conducting her own research, she also lectures in Information Technology and Management Information Systems at WIT.
