Biography
Catherine Gannon graduated with a distinction from the National Certificate of Business Studies in 2004 and continued her 3rd level education in 2006 by graduating with a first class honours from the Bachelor of Business Studies specialising in the accounting stream.
Catherine began her career in management in the retail industry working with several national and international retailers. Managing all aspects of an organisation gave her the interest and passion to return to Waterford Institute of Technology to pursue her profession in greater depth. Catherine began her masters by research in 2008 under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Patrick Lynch and Dr. Denis Harrington, who are leading experts in this area. Catherine is hoping to integrate her research masters into a PhD by the end of 2009.

Catherine’s primary research interests are in Intellectual Capital, Knowledge Management and Dynamic capabilities.

Catherine's research project is: 'A Model for Sustained Competitive Advantage: The Role of Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital.'
