Biography:

 

Anne Marie graduated from the National Certificate in Business Studies in 2004 while in full time employment, as Telesales Team Manager with ntl telecommunications. From here Anne Marie progressed to the full time Bachelor of Business Studies (Marketing specialism) degree programme at Waterford Institute of Technology in 2006, attaining first class honours. Anne Marie received a Certificate of Recognition for her outstanding achievement in her exams in 2005 and was also the recipient of the Marketing Commendation Award in 2006 for recognition of achieving excellence in her Marketing Studies. She has recently completed the Masters of Business Studies (Marketing specialism) programme at Waterford Institute of Technology, also attaining first class honours.  Anne-Marie has since commenced her PhD study at this Institute under the supervision of Dr. Anthony Foley, funded by the Telecommunications Software and Systems Group (TSSG).  Anne Marie also holds the position of Marketing Research Assistant with the TSSG.

 

 

 

Research Interests:

 

Anne Marie’s research interests are primarily in the field of marketing capabilities, and networked sense-making. Her study will investigate the development of dynamic capabilities through the exploration of the sense-making and sense-giving processes within a networked environment. Anne Marie’s MBS dissertation investigated the market orientation of Irish SME's. This dissertation investigated if Irish SME's have adopted a market orientation construct within their business and also examined how a learning orientation can impact upon a market orientation within this context.

The Title of Anne Marie’s project is: “Investigating the Development of Inter-Organisational Dynamic Capabilities within a Destination Management Network”
