Biography:
In 2003, Amy graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) with a National Diploma in Design (Visual) Communications. Following her graduation, Amy worked in the print industry achieving the position of Senior Designer before taking year out to travel. It was on her return in 2007, that Amy made the decision to continue her studies and in 2009 Amy completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing at WIT. Whilst completing her degree Amy was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding academic achievement (2008) and a Commendation Award from her lecturers and academic peers (2009).
Research Interests:
Amy is currently embarking on an Integrated Masters/PhD programme under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Lynch and Dr. Mary Holden at RIKON research centre, which is located in the School of Business at WIT. Amy's research focuses around the topic of innovation theory and enterprise practice with the aim of incorporating a strategic focus on the dynamic capabilities critical to the establishment, development and management of a destination innovation network in Irish SME’s in order to gain competitive advantage.
Project Title:
The title of Amy’s research project is ‘Building and Managing Strategic Destination Innovation Networks in Irish SME’s.’
