INTERREG 4A
The SLNIW is Funded by the INTERREG 4A Ireland Wales programme 2007 – 2013. The Programme has an overall aim of addressing issues relating to innovation, entrepreneurship, the knowledge economy, climate change, sustainable development and providing more and better jobs.
The Programme has two key Priorities and within each lies two Themes:
Priority 1 - Knowledge, Innovation and Skills for growth
Theme 1 - Innovation and competitiveness
Theme 2 - Skills for competitiveness & Employment Integration
Priority 2 - Climate Change and Sustainable Regeneration

CEDRE (Centre for Enterprise Development and Regional Economy), Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland
The Centre for Enterprise Development and Regional Economy has extensive expertise amongst its academic and research staff, in a wide range of disciplines. The centre is well resourced to be a key force in supporting, promoting and developing entrepreneurship in the region.
The over-riding objective of CEDRE is the development of entrepreneurship education and research. In educating and developing entrepreneurs and business owners, as well as policy makers and business advisors, the Centre for Entrepreneurship aims to position itself at the forefront of entrepreneurial activity in the region.

SMB are committed to ensuring that research activities and publications are of international importance offering business, management and finance solutions that can be applied across sectors, cultures and discipline areas.
SMB hosts the Centre for Local and Regional Enterprise which provides a focus for regional economic and business development. Research themes include sustainability, enterprise and regional development policy.
