Experience
Henry initially served his time as a motor mechanic during which time he won a Gold Medal from the Ford Motor Company in the National Apprentice Competition 1967.
He worked in the fleet transport department of the Electricity Supply Board from 1970 to 1980 and then moved to his present position lecturing in Automotive Engineering at Waterford Institute of Technology.
Henry attends various courses delivered by car importers in Ireland, reviewing the latest innovations. He is a senior examiner in Automotive Engineering subjects with both FAS (the industrial training authority) and the Department of Education & Science. Henry has completed an academic course in Automotive Electronics and Control Systems at Limerick Institute of Technology in 1998. His research interests are Automotive Electronics and Control Systems and he is presently conducting research into microprocessor-based electronic control systems for the automotive industry.
