Title: Waterford business graduate congratulated on senior U.S. appointment

Prof Kieran R Byrne, Director, Waterford Institute of Technology has congratulated Patrick J Goulding, a graduate of the Institute's School of Business, on his appointment as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of GoldenTree InSite Partners, a New York-based firm that invests in global real estate opportunities with total assets under management exceeding $7 billion.

In his new role, Mr Goulding - aged 42 and originally from St John’s Park in Waterford - will be responsible for all financial and operational related matters including transaction financing, treasury management, taxation and reporting activities.

Commenting on his appointment, Prof Byrne said, "A graduate of our Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) degree and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Pat Goulding has worked at some of the world's leading financial institutions and his latest senior appointment is a further endorsement of his tremendous ability and also reaffirms our own work at the Institute in helping to groom the business leaders of the future."

Prior to joining GoldenTree InSite, Mr Goulding was a Director and head of Portfolio Finance for ING Clarion. He also served as CFO of its flagship real estate fund - Clarion Lion Properties Fund.

He also previously spent seven years in the Lend Lease organisation, where he served in various roles in real estate investment and development in the USA, Europe and throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Mr Goulding began his real estate career with the Schroders Banking Group, where he worked in both the European and Australian fund management businesses.
