Title: WIT to host IT factor national final

Location: Dome Bar and Social Centre, WIT, Cork Road Campus, Waterford

Time: 8pm

Waterford Institute of Technology is hosting the IT FACTOR competition on the 14th March 2007 where singers and musicians from across Ireland's Institute's of Technology will compete against each other in the IT FACTOR NATIONAL FINAL.

The competition is mounting as heats are taking place throughout the months of February in each Institute. Two artists (one original artist & one "covers" artist) from each college will be selected to represent their college at the IT FACTOR final.

Rumour has it that the WIT hopefuls are a talented bunch and the judging panel are having a tough time selecting just two artists. Watch this space to find out who will go on to represent WIT!

All are welcome to come along on the night to cheer on our super-star hopefuls. This could be the start of something big!

Prizes

The competition will have cash and trophy prizes. Each contestant will also receive a DVD recording of the final.

Programme of Events

Tuesday, 13th March

• Finalists arrive at their leisure for a casual get-together with open mike entertainment @ 9 PM Dome Bar

Wednesday, 14th March

• Rehearsal sessions 10 AM to 1 PM
• Lunch 1 PM to 2 PM Seasons Restaurant (CERT), Main Campus
• Rehearsal sessions 2 PM to 4 PM
• Start of competition 8 PM
• Live Band and disco 11 PM till late
